EUROPEAN ROMANCE IN THE FINGER LAKES: petite and elegant

If you live around Central New York, you might think a destination wedding involves airplanes and tons of travel accommodations. And you'd be right unless you take a little trip to Aurora, New York where you'll find the Inns of Aurora - a collection of boutique, luxury hotels with the best view of the lake, nestled in a quant town that feels as if you've stepped right into a painting!

BEST FOOT FORWARD

This collaboration between PCC and Stone Fruit Studio (stationery) was a dream come true! Invitations are the perfect way to set the tone for any wedding, and her design blew us all away! PCC supplied spot calligraphy, using a new script with formal capital letters and flourishes, and an easy script base.

WELCOME TO AURORA

One of the best ways to greet a guest is with a welcome basket! I love providing a drink and snack or two to enjoy immediately upon arriving after a long journey. The best part is mixing local products in with a few carefully selected international ones- for example this one had a local baguette, macarons, and jam paired with French wine and Guerande 'Fleur De Sel' Sea Salt.

CEREMONY FOR 10

With your tightest knit group in attendance, having more comfortable seating means a better experience for your guests while they enjoy the view of the lake, and their loved ones getting married. With a planner and some staff, you can have those chairs moved to tables or lounges to keep the continuity throughout the day. Even the arbor can moved for photos or behind a sweetheart table!

Our bride really completed her look with a dress that danced around her when she moved, a textured up-do and a bouquet that brought in the color palette inspired by the sunsets at Aurora.

DOWN TO THE DETAILS

With such a small number you can really implements details you might not have had a chance to do! Layers were key in this design, adding in stacked plates and custom sourced napkins, and a few floral arrangements instead of just one. We even tied ribbons on a few candles, added custom menus that matched invitation (spot calligraphy and all!) and had a bottle of champagne for guests to pop open and toast to the newlyweds!

CATERING FOR COVID

With guests health in mind, we imagined a few table separated by 6 ft while people dined within their "social bubbles". And at the end of the night, having your own personal dessert come right to you! Stacey outdid herself with these varied cake designs!

AT THE END OF THE DAY

There's no right or wrong way to have a wedding, at the end of the day it's about celebrating your love how YOU want to! It's the first day of the rest of your married life, celebrate accordingly!
