After three years focusing in the stationery business, and only side-consulting for friends on wedding planning do’s and don'ts- it's time for Paper Crane Calligraphy to grow!

In celebration of PCC now offering wedding planning services, I thought I’d share a little BTS of the Galentine’s day I had the pleasure of designing!

I wanted to celebrate the wedding vendors in the area- we all have either heard of each other via Instagram or have met in passing running from set up to detail shots and coralling the bridal party! And since we all have the same busy season it doesn’t leave much time for catching up or getting to know one another! That connection is so important- vendors who know each other are a stronger network to build your dream team! SO four weeks out I met with Jess from Guess It’s Jess blog and got to work.

Since we are all vendors and so used to working events (I can’t tell you how many people offered to come early to help set up or to photograph the day- so many big hearts!), it was important to me that they could feel like guests. Name tags were pre-written, and packets labeled “gals” were assembled with all of the participants and atendee’s information, no scrambling with business cards!

BONUS: guests were invited to “wear their heart on their sleeve” as the name tags were heart shaped- I do love a good pun!

I DREAMT about this design- classic blushes, pinks and gold with pops of yellow inspired by She Rents VIntage’s Goldie Hawn couch. Bouquets pinned to grids for floating bits of colors, a table of the yummiest food, and a signature cocktail table to invite guests to party (not work!). It had to be modern and fun, the perfect fit for the incredible space that 315 Beauty Bar had just created! I touched base with the team about design and let me tell you- they ran with it! They took everything in strides and embraced the design, making it not only come to life but better than I could have dreamed. THAT is what you get when you have a true dream team!
